Three Oscars for IFFR favorite Moonlight

Yesterday Barry Jenkin's Moonlight won three Academy Awards. Next to Best Picture, actor Mahershala Ali won the award for Best Supporting Actor. Barry Jenkins personally won the award for Best Adapted Screenplay together with his co-writer Tarell Alvin McCraney.

At IFFR, Barry Jenkins presented Moonlight to the Dutch audience. The film was an instant favourite and eventually won the Warsteiner Audience Award.
