NFF + HBF selection 2017

Two film projects were selected in the autumn round of the Netherlands Film Fund (NFF) and Hubert Bals Fund (HBF) Co-production Scheme 2017, each receiving a contribution of € 50,000 from NFF.

Sick, Sick, Sick by Alice Furtado is co-produced by BALDR Film (the Netherlands) and Estudio Giz (Brazil).

A Land Imagined by Yeo Siew Hua is co-produced by Volya Films (the Netherlands) and Akanga Film Asia (Singapore).

In addition, six projects receive a development contribution under the NFF + HBF Co-development Scheme:

  • Ningdu - Lei Lei (Hong Kong, China)

  • The Whole Timers - Pooja Gurung and Bibhusan Basnet (Nepal, France)

  • Anatomy of Time - Jakrawal Nilthamrong (Thailand)

  • La Jauria, Andrés - Ramírez Pulido (Colombia)

  • Naked Sky - Dea Kulumbegashvili (Georgia)

  • The French Teacher - Ricardo Alves Jr. (Brazil)

NFF+HBF

The NFF + HBF Co-production Scheme (formerly HBF Plus) is a program of the Netherlands Film Fund and International Film Festival Rotterdam that has been successfully involving Dutch film producers for 11 years with international co-productions already supported by the Hubert Bals Fund. Since 2006, the Dutch Film Fund has made € 200,000 available each year for the support of four projects.
