Our upcoming edition of IFFR Pro Days will take place on a dedicated online platform, from 1 to 5 February 2021. Responding to the needs of filmmakers and the industry during the global health crisis, the IFFR Pro Days 2021 will be a tailor-made experience that presents new projects, offers an exciting professionals’ programme and networking opportunities.
Whether you are presenting your new film or project in development, looking to explore our film programme and projects, or meet with new talents, our main objective is to continue supporting the filmmaking community through a meaningful online experience.
IFFR Pro Days programme
Projects selected by IFFR Pro will be presented to an international audience of professionals during CineMart. Decision-makers and those presenting projects will receive a personal made-to-measure meeting schedule. All projects join our Spotlight session, where we dive more deeply into the heart of each of the selected projects.
- CineMart projects
CineMart is our international co-production market that offers filmmakers the opportunity to launch their film in development towards the international film industry and to find the right creative and financial partners. We will be featuring around 15 CineMart projects.
- Immersive projects
We will also invite four immersive projects to CineMart. They were selected from the eleven immersive projects that were pitched at IFM Content, our programme in partnership with VR Days Europe, which took place November 4 to 6, 2020.
- BoostNL projects
Eight projects that are part of BoostNL will also be presented during CineMart, our collaborative project between IFFR Pro and Holland Film Meeting, the professionals' programme of the Nederlands Film Festival. The international projects in this selection have received Script & Development support by IFFR’s Hubert Bals Fund.
Rotterdam Lab: 25 January–5 February
This year, the Rotterdam Lab programme will extend over a period of 10 days. 70 producers at the beginning of their international career, representing over 30 different countries, will collaborate, exchange and share their experiences and knowledge. They are provided with a springboard into the international market place, through a series of online workshops, case-studies and networking sessions closely connected to CineMart.
Pro Hub: 1–5 February
This year again, Pro Hub will support filmmakers in making the best of their time during IFFR by assisting them in developing new connections and finding allies in the film community. Filmmakers with a film in the IFFR selection will have the possibility to take a personal, 30-minute, one-to-one meeting with one of the Pro Hub mentors.
The Pro Hub will also organise a daily expert talk, followed by a roundtable discussion, for a limited number of filmmakers. A select number of Industry panels on current topics will be open to all industry professionals and festival programmers at IFFR. Filmmakers with a film in the IFFR selection are offered exclusive training sessions on how to communicate and pitch a project effectively.
More details on the IFFR Pro Days events and film programme, as well as accreditations, will be announced soon.
