Get ready for IFFR 2019

IFFR 2019 is just around the corner! To ensure you don’t get completely lost amid the excitement we’ve put together our best and most practical tips for getting ahead and organising your visit.

Start with our Specials
You can already buy tickets to our Specials in presale, events such as our Opening Night, Short Film Marathon, Surprise Film, Dag van de Dwarse Film 2019, and many more. These tickets are selling fast so be sure to check out the event pages and grab yours in good time.

Look out for the programme in full
Our entire programme will go live on 16 January! On this big day you’ll find all films, specials, programmes, locations and times collected on our programme page – easy to filter and navigate. If you prefer a printed programme then check your doormat or the local shop that day, you’ll the find the IFFR Programmabijlage in de Volkskrant newspaper.

Be prepared for ticket sales
The advance tickets sales start on 17 January, exclusively for Tiger Members, from 20:00 hours. Regular ticket sales will start the following evening, 18 January, at 20:00 hours. Set yourself up in MyIFFR  beforehand. Create an account if you don’t have one already – if you have a CJP pass, you can link it to your account here.

Having trouble choosing?
There are a number of ways to navigate our extensive programme. Start by using our four festival sections as a guide, each with their own feel, style, tone and distinctive colour. Yellow for Bright Future, blue for Voices, green for Deep Focus and red for Perspectives. This year, we also invite you to use our new film finder tool. New for IFFR 2019, the IFFR Filmfinder helps you to find your best-matched films (more details coming soon!)

Download our IFFR App
The whole festival organised in your phone. Here you can find the programme, buy your tickets and let them be scanned on your way into the film. Pick your favourite films and make a personal schedule. Discover the programme with online Masterclasses, blogs, podcasts, and interviews, and stay informed on the latest news.

Make a personal schedule
Logged in to MyIFFR? Then you can add films to your personal page by clicking on the heart symbol on the films and events you are interested in. You can make a personal schedule from these favourites by clicking on 'Create personal schedule' in your MyIFFR-dashboard. You can do this as often as you like. Once ticket sales have started, you can place your favourites in your shopping basket from this personal schedule and then pay for your tickets. Note: marking films as a favourite does not reserve a ticket!
