Bright Future Competition

The Bright Future Competition comprises a selection of around fifteen debut feature-length films from all over the world, presented at IFFR in world or international premiere, as part of the Bright Future programme.

With an award that comes with €10,000 for the filmmaker(s) that can be spent on the development and realisation of a future film project, this competition aims to present young, up-and-coming filmmakers who enrich contemporary cinema with innovative, original and daring work.

The winner of the Bright Future Award is chosen by a jury of three international film professionals.
