Anne Falkesgaard Hansen

Anne Falkesgaard Hansen completed the 3-year film internship program at Zentropa in 2017 and was subsequently admitted to The National Film School of Denmark, from where she graduated in 2021. At film school, she teamed up with one of her classmates, Sophie D’Souza, to produce four graduation films, with one of them ultimately being selected for Cannes. After film school, Anne returned to Zentropa fellowed by her producer partner. The production team works together on their own projects with upcoming talent and have several projects in development with seasoned Zentropa producer Peter Aalbæk Jensen. Next to the producer partnership, Anne is also working together with producer Sisse Graum Jørgensen as associate producer on Anders Thomas Jensen's new feature film. One of her big interests and a main focus for Anne is the work environment and film financing. During the last year, Anne has been a controller for different prestige Zentropa projects to get as much knowledge as possible about the financial side of film production.

With a back catalogue consisting of 275+ titles, Zentropa is one of the most prolific and notorious Scandinavian and European production companies today. Alongside producing feature films, Zentropa is now engaging substantially in the production of TV series. The portfolio of the company, who launched the DOGME 95 movement, includes a comprehensive list of awards and accolades. Among them are two Academy Awards, six Academy Award nominations, a Golden Globe, five Golden Globe nominations, five Palms at the Cannes Film Festival, three Bears at the Berlinale and 22 European Film Awards. The vast majority of Zentropa’s films and TV series are international co-productions.
