Alysha Seriani

Alysha Seriani is a producer and media artist working at the intersections of film production, media art and community projects. She gratefully lives and co-creates as a queer white-bodied settler on the sacred and unceded ancestral lands of the hən̓q̓əmin̓əm̓ and Sḵwx̱wú7mesh sníchim-speaking peoples (xʷməθkʷəy̓əm, Sḵwx̱wú7mesh, and səl̓ilw̓ətaʔɬ nations), also known as East Vancouver, Canada. Her producing credits include ANYOX (2022, co-produced and directed by Ryan Ermacora and Jessica Johnson), and she received her first credit as Associate Producer for THE BODY REMEMBERS WHEN THE WORLD BROKE OPEN (2019, co-directed by Kathleen Hepburn and Elle-Máijá Tailfeathers). Currently, Alysha is producing THE NARROW EDGE, a feature film in development with Experimental Forest Films and is grateful to be attending the 2023 Rotterdam Lab Special Alumni Edition.

Experimental Forest Films – Canada

Experimental Forest Films (EFF) is an award-winning production company based on unceded xʷməθkʷəy̓əm (Musqueam), Sḵwx̱wú7mesh (Squamish) and səlilwətaɬ (Tsleil-Waututh) territory in Vancouver, BC, Canada. Founded by Writer/Director Kathleen Hepburn and Producer/Director Tyler Hagan, Experimental Forest Films is committed to socially relevant, nuanced storytelling that celebrates creative risk and cinematic vision. Their films have premiered at TIFF & Berlinale and their recent project, The Body Remembers When The World Broke Open won the prestigious Toronto Film Critics Association Best Canadian Film Award (2020) and was picked up for distribution by Ava DuVernay's Array Releasing. EFF current projects range in form from documentary to narrative features and, more recently, dramatic television series.
