Ticket sales info

Everything you need to know about IFFR's ticket sales.

The online ticket sale for the 50th edition of International Film Festival Rotterdam is expected to start on Friday 22 January 2021 at 20:00 hrs. Tiger Members, Tiger Members with IFFR Unleashed and Tiger Members Supreme can purchase their tickets one day before official ticket sale start from Thrusday 21 January. They will receive information about this by email.

Ticket sales for IFFR 2021 will take place online only, due to the coronavirus measures currently in place. There will be no physical box office. If and when physical screenings are possible during the festival dates, there will be a service point on location. However, no tickets will be sold there.

You can find the online programme in the same place where you would regularly find the physical programme. On 20 January we will publish the schedule on the programme overview page. On 22 January 20:00 (21 January for Tiger Members) you can buy tickets from here as well.

A regular online film ticket costs €8,50. Tiger Members receive a €3 discount on the ticket price. You can check an overview of all discounts here. With a ticket for an online film you can play a programme once, on one screen.

Exchanging tickets for physical programme is possible until one hour before the start. Contact us via the livechat on any page of this site, via [email protected] or call +3110 890 90 00. Exchanging tickets for online programme is not possible. Returning purchased tickets is not possible.

Unfortunately, due to the measures taken against the spread of the coronavirus, we will have no physical box office for IFFR 2021. So you can only buy tickets online. If this is difficult, please contact us via the livechat on any page of this site, via [email protected] or call +3110 890 90 00.

During the pre-sale from 22 January onwards (21 January for Tiger Members) you have one hour to complete your order. You will be warned about this when placing tickets in your shopping cart. Should you not complete your order within 30 minutes, your shopping cart will be emptied automatically. When ordering online during the festival, you have fifteen minutes to complete your order. By logging into your account before you start purchasing tickets, you can speed up the process.

After purchasing tickets on this website, you will receive an email with a PDF file as an attachment for every individual screening: the e-ticket. An e-ticket guarantees entry to the corresponding physical film screening. The bar code on the e-ticket will be scanned at the door: from the PDF downloaded on your smartphone, directly from the IFFR app or from a printed e-ticket. For online programme you will also receive an e-ticket, but you will not need the bar code or the document. Access to your online programme is connected to your IFFR Account. You can start every programme you have purchased from your Agenda. Please note: Tiger Members and other badge holders do not receive e-tickets for themselves, they show their (digital) badge at the screening room.

With a Passbook/Wallet app you have all tickets and passes from different organisations in one place. You can also use this for your IFFR e-tickets. iOS (iPhone) users can simply add their IFFR-tickets to the default Wallet app on their phone. Android smartphones do not have a default Wallet/Passbook functionality on their phone. To use this, we recommend to download the PassAndroid Passbook viewer app. Please note: for online programme you do not need an e-ticket, access is connected to your IFFR Account. You can find the access through your Agenda.
