Closing Night 2020: A Beautiful Day in the Neighborhood & Party

You just blink and – suddenly it’s all over. On Saturday 1 February, round off the 49th IFFR with us at the exclusive screening of the closing film in the Grote Zaal in ‘de Doelen’. After the screening, we’ll see out the festival in spectacular style with the Closing Party.

Closing Film: A Beautiful Day in the Neighborhood
Mister Rogers always manages to disarm even the most hardened cynics with his seemingly boundless friendliness. Director Marielle Heller (Can You Ever Forgive Me?) achieves the same with her heart-warming film about forgiveness that never becomes too soppy. Actor Tom Hanks is phenomenal as the famous American kid's TV star.

After the film, we’ll be raising the roof of ‘de Doelen’ during the Closing Party with an eclectic mix of DJs, live music and acts. With amongst others: Singlefeestje and Zuco 103.  

But don’t cry because it’s over – Sunday 2 February is completely dedicated to IFFR’s Volkskrantdag. As an extra for those who do not get enough of IFFR, we also have the Dag van de Dwarse Film in KINO Rotterdam and EYE in Amsterdam! And even after the festival IFFR remains active all year round.
