A class on Pompeii and Vesuvius sounds predictable, but this film adds quite a few curious connotations to this historical phenomenon: from playful re-enactments in primary school to the Sibyl's Cave, where the filmmaker discovers a Vesuvius symbiosis with cinema, memory and Giambattista Vico’s spiral of time.
