The title refers to the three-four time signature, common in classical music. But it’s also a description of the family portrayed, which is missing one of its four members. Daughter Mila is a promising pianist who is preparing to audition for further studies in Germany. She is constantly distracted by her little brother Niki, who likes to play the clown. Father Todor is an absent-minded physics teacher who focuses most of his attention on his promising protegé and less on his children. The mother is absent, but that is only implicitly suggested. Just like the fact that this is their last summer together as a family.

The melancholy atmosphere is tangible – afterwards, things will never be the same – yet the mood is light. The use of nonprofessional actors and a small camera hugging close turn 3/4 into a natural drama about something everyday that is never ordinary.
