Big Talk: Angelo Vermeulen

Artist, biologist, space researcher and Senior TED fellow Angelo Vermeulen will take us on an interstellar journey – but not the one most of us have been conditioned to imagine. Bypassing what has been spoon-fed to us by film studios and business marketeers, Vermeulen will combine science with a critical creative practice to help us re-conceptualise futurist design. With experience ranging from the creation of multimedia installations for galleries and museums to Crew Commander of the 2013 NASA-funded HI-SEAS Mars simulation in Hawai’i, Angelo Vermeulen will share with us his idea of what is truly future-oriented.
