Rio de Janeiro as we don't know it. The Harbor shows us layers of a city haunted by progress. One port on top of the other. One city on top of the other. The camera can be a tool to excavate multiple invisibilities in space and time, buried and forgotten realms. Emptied urban spaces reveal a political project of capitalistic exploration, which is camouflaged with an idealised discourse on progress that repeats itself over the course of our history.
