Handful of Dust

Rates of cancer in the film’s cast and crew reflect it being shot downwind during the period of above-ground nuclear testing. This remake is composed of hundreds of cyanotypes, exposed with the original negatives from 1954. The Prussian blue of the images is understood to counteract radiation poisoning.
