Fast cut, energetic comedy à la the Dutch film Shouf Shouf Habibi! about three friends of Moroccan origin in a poor suburb of Brussels. They call themselves ' the barons' and believe that every person has a limited allotment of steps. So above all don't do too much, because every step could be your last.
One of them, Hassan, is put under pressure by his father to become a bus driver. He himself has other ambitions: he wants to be a stand-up comedian. The danger is, will people laugh with him or at him? Equally awful is that Hassan dreams about the confident journalist Malika, the sister of another baron named Mounir. Going out with the sister of a friend is absolutely not done, unless you marry her.
The self-taught Nabil Ben Yadir, who also wrote the script, based Hassan in this feature debut on himself.
