An artist with a sensitive eye shoots a film in a little-known Vietnam. She doesn't shoot it in the Vietnam of the traditional water buffaloes, but that of emerging modern city life. The television spells an important role in the film. Partly a soap opera is followed and partly a girl follows a boy on television looking for his father. In this way, a visually complex picture of it now is sketched that remains remarkably light in tone.
