Now, is film indeed the truth, 24 times a second, or rather a couple of dozen different truths, or simply all lies? In a playful way, Ana Torfs deconstructs in a series of posters this cinematographic sophism. Her photo-piece Toast is just as lucid as thoughtful, with the allure of an emblematic tableau. Vérité Projetée is a poster installation that was created in the margins of her recent show Anatomy for the DAAD gallery in Berlin.
