A digital video tape flutters in the air stream of a ventilator, dances in the light beam of a projector, throws jittery shadows. The information encoded on the tape remains invisible, only the actual material - liberated from its service function as storage medium and a vehicle of meaning - writes its unpredictable and enigmatic messages on the screen. In which form does the network data world manifest itself in our everyday life? What comes back from cyberspace into physical space? In this installation, analogue and digital age intertwine; calligraphy and informal art, original cinema magic and psychedelic dream machine meet in a shared shadow-play. (Matthias Müller)
