Kawaii

A melancholy tale about city folk who briefly leave the city, but of course remain city folk. The prostitute Shan-Shan takes her Japanese client for a weekend to the coastal resort Lou-Dong. He has briefly had enough of city life and she acts as if it is just her work. The taxi driver who takes them also acts as if it is his work, but he has a different motive for going to Lou-Dong. On television, he happened to see a news report about a girl he has never forgotten. Attractively made short drama film with a great eye for detail and lost time.
