Film maker Robert Kramer, who died in 1999, was a militant through and through. Taking a very different tack from the negative image the Americans had of him, his daughter Keja Ho Kramer revives their relationship in the form of an imaginary dialogue. She interviewed people who were close to the film maker and interweaves these interviews with footage from his personal archives. Throughout the film his complex and touching personality is brought out by his daughter, who goes so far as to wear his clothes, and film him in death.
