One of the first abstract, animated films in film history. Swedish-born Eggeling, who lived and worked in Berlin, regarded his films as a musical score. In Diagonal Symphony, he tries to create a universal language that would bridge the gap between the artist and his audience. The film was restored by filmmaker Gösta Werner with support by the Swedish Cinematheque in 1994. Presented by Filmform, Stockholm.
