Surprising mixture of documentary and fiction, just like in Les petits hommes vieux (see the programme The Not So Distant Future) formed part of the project 10 minutes pour refaire le monde, a screenplay contest initiated by Canal+. Nigel Bennett: 'Hotel California is a film about the people we label immigrants. Everyone of us is searching for a place in the world where we can belong, but will we ever find it?'
