John Fahey - In Concert And Interviews - 1969 & 1996

John Fahey, a.k.a. Blind Joe Death, has been called the father of American Primitive Guitar. He brought a force and inventiveness in his compositions and playing that is firmly rooted in country blues and folk traditions. The DVD opens with an interview in the 1969 'Guitar, guitar' TV show. Fahey talks about his sources of inspiration and general thoughts on playing, and then the DVD jumps 27 years to a concert and interview in 1996. His physical appearance has changed but his approach is still the same: the guitar solo pieces are changing every time he plays them.
