Mala leche

Mala leche is the sequel to Leche (see above) and portrays the same Mexican peasant family. No longer in black-and-white, but in colour. No longer in Mexico, but in California. The protagonists have chased the American Dream. But their dreams have not been realised. The rich country makes sure the family realises just how poor they are. Little is spared them. A distressing portrait.
