Growth

The poet Wim Emmerik recites his poem Growth in Dutch sign language. The camera follows his hands and facial expressions from different positions. The poem, that is about the correspondence between the development of homo sapiens and the four seasons, and the film images show a new form of cinematographic poetry emerging that appeals to both deaf and hearing people.
