We see the eyes and forehead of a woman walking round, while she recites a stream of words. In another, still depiction we see how this woman films herself, the camera in her hand, in the middle of the dominant architecture of a neo-classical building. Imogen Stidworthy (1963) trained in visual arts in the UK and at the Jan van Eyck Akademie, Maastricht. Since 1994 she has participated in group exhibitions internationally with sound installations, video and film installations and these often engage with specific atmospheric and architectural aspects of the locations in which they are presented. Recent group exhibitions include Video Positive, Liverpool (2000) and 'Desperate Optimists', Festival aan de Werf, Utrecht (2000).
