Chambre froide

Penetrating mini-drama film about the difficult relationship between mother Nicole and her daughter Rita, ten years after the death of her father. Both work in a butcher's shop. Since the death of her husband, Nicole has only lived in her memories and is cold and bitter, and this gets in the way of her love for her daughter. Rita wants to live, but Nicole clings onto the status quo. The film was shot in a depressing industrial town and in musty interiors painted in muted colours. Perfect acting by mother and daughter, who are so different, yet so similar.
