At Sea (Harbouring Thoughts: Adrift)

A meditation about travelling and being at home. Jon Jost did not make his diary in a specific port, but took images of various ports from his personal archive, the real diary. By chance, or maybe not, the different places where he lived in his much-travelled life have often been harbours. He sought for abstract images and a seductive, slow editing style in order to achieve a hypnotic rhythm. A poetic voice-over and some on-screen texts accompany the visual associations.
