Immer & Ewig is largely set in the afterlife and a very original design was found to represent that. Video and computer techniques were used to create a collage of images and texts. Mixing the world of the living with that of the dead was given the appeal of a music video. The design was limited by the state of technology ten years ago, but that is compensated by a large dose of inventiveness and humour. The film can still serve as an example of a possible way forward for digital film-making.The protagonists Claude and Dodo happen to die at the same time from the same bullet. When they are dead, they are given twelve hours to earn a new chance at life. To get it they have to prove their love for each other. A modern variation on the myth of Orpheus and Eurydice, that is also a picture of Switzerland ten years ago.
