This short fiction was made while Dean was artist in residence in Bourges, France. Bourges was an important medieval centre for alchemy, and the film drwas upon the practice of transmuting air into gold, an elixer for live. It is about rising at dawn in a hot air balloon, trying to catch the ascending dew on its voyage to heaven. For alchemists, dew was a metaphor for the soul.
