'Killer' has already been working 155 days for 'Agent'. Business is flourishing, but Killer starts wondering about their code of ethics. She (Agent) does odd jobs, clears up behind him and is obsessed by where he is and what he has done. Business is business, and should not be confused with love. That is why Killer leaves a message for Agent in a bar where they meet regularly: 'Jukebox song 1818'. The title of the dong is 'Forget Him'. Killer then sets off with the unhinged Punkie. Then there is Ho (Takeshi Kaneshiro), who works in a fast-food place on day and next day is butcher, and Cherry, who has to help Punkie and Killer finding a defector. The lives of these five people get more and more intertwined. Director Wong Kar-wai last year broke through and reached a major audience with Chungking Express, a film he shot in three months and that was flooded with prizes. 'Fallen Angels is basically the third part of the duo that was Chungking Express. They may differ in technique and structure, they have been made with the same thought, in other words: as simply as possible.' (Wong Kar-wai.)
