Dante Hicks thought he had a day off but instead he had to stand in for someone at work. It's a boring day for him at a dilapidated supermarket somewhere in New Jersey, for the viewer the start of a bizarre comedy in which everything seems to go wrong. To compound the disaster, his beloved Caitlin marries someone else. is a simple low-budget film shot in black & white. Its charm is primarily in its laconic, humorously philosophical dialogues, the original jokes and the nonchalant acting. And in the hyper-realistic location.
