The hawker Delshad is forced to seek a new way of earning his living. All the legal channels are closed to him, so he has to try his luck at something illegal. He is then confronted with the most important and strangest event of his life: a fateful incident which he can apparently only overcome with love. This uncomplicated comedy takes a subtle look at the dilemmas resulting from Islamic law. The plot has humorous 'solutions' for a law that bans men and women from touching each other in public, let alone kissing. The fate of the protagonist also provides a mild criticism of the worsening social conditions which lead people to turn to crime.
