A kind of parable which Mehrjui based loosely on Woyzeck by Georg Büchner. Taghi is Mehrjui's Woyzeck. He is postman, but cannot live off his meagre wages. That is why he also collects herbs for the vet and works as servant for a drunken sheep breeder. He is also a fanatical player in the national lottery, that serves to strengthen his obsession for numbers. Taghi has a beautiful wife, but is impotent. The vet tries to heal him with the aid of herbs collected by Taghi himself, but when it doesn't help, Taghi's world starts to fall apart even more. The vet is arrested because he was trying to cure people and the sheep breeder is forced by his cousin to keep pigs. Taghi flees into the woods. When he is found by his wife, he commits a fatal deed.
