From Paris, Texas (1984) to Coffee and Cigarettes (2003), Robby Müller was without doubt one of the most iconic and influential cinematographers the Netherlands has ever produced. The 'master of light' worked with leading directors including Wim Wenders, Jim Jarmusch, Lars von Trier and Steve McQueen. His films show a preference for natural light, saturated colours and tight framing.
That also stands out in the many Polaroid pictures Robby Müller shot during his life and many travels. His wife, art historian Andrea Müller-Schirmer, selected one hundred of his Polaroids for this exclusive photographic exhibition in WORM.
In collaboration with the Annet Gelink Gallery and supported by Polaroid Art & Culture. Also see Living the Light – Robby Müller.
